Ukraine country
Ukraine is a country located in Eastern Europe. It is bordered by Russia to the east, Belarus to the north, Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary to the west, and Romania and Moldova to the southwest. The Black Sea and the Sea of Azov are located to the south of Ukraine.
The capital and largest city is Kiev. The official language is Ukrainian, and the country has a population of over 42 million people.
Ukraine has a diverse economy that includes heavy industry, particularly in the areas of metallurgy and engineering, as well as significant agricultural resources. The country is also rich in natural resources, including coal, natural gas, oil, and minerals.
Politically, Ukraine is a unitary parliamentary constitutional republic. The President of Ukraine is the head of state and government, and holds executive power. The Verkhovna Rada is the unicameral legislature, and the Prime Minister is the head of government.
In recent years, Ukraine has faced significant challenges, including ongoing conflict with Russia and a struggling economy. Despite this, the country has made efforts to move towards European integration and has developed stronger ties with Western countries. The country has been in a ongoing war with Russia on the annexation of Crimea, with UN sanctions on Russia.
Ukraine is a member of the United Nations, the World Trade Organization, the Council of Europe, and many other international organizations.
